Michigan State University’s Food Science Club is the number one social and professional networking tool for undergraduate and graduate Food Science students within the Food Science and Human Nutrition Department. The club meets once weekly during the spring and fall semesters. Each meeting may be a learning experience offering informational and networking sessions with companies or a social gathering with other students in the Food Science major.
Past meetings have included visits from Kellogg Company, Post, ConAgra, Campbell’s Soup Company, Nestle Gerber, PepsiCo, and Domino’s Pizza. We work with these companies to help them recruit interns and full-time employees while exposing our students to different aspects and careers within the food industry.
Social events for the club include Spartan Football Tailgating, Bar Crawls, Foodie Dinners, Brewery Tours, and Mozzarella Cheese and Ice Cream Making. These events are the best way to get to know other food science students outside of class.
